Afua Hirsch is a writer, broadcaster and barrister, and a presenter on Sky News flagship debate show ‘The Pledge’. She was the West Africa correspondent, based in Accra, and before that legal correspondent for the Guardian newspaper, and formerly practised human rights law as a barrister.

Thamsanqa is an international journalist whose academic achievements include degrees earned in diplomatic studies, law, journalism, film-making and engineering.
He has spent the last 15 years advising European governments on African policy and international development, and working with international companies and African governments to promote inward investment and clarify policy. Thamsanqa was born and grew up in Zimbabwe. He worked in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Germany as an engineer and broadcaster before going into diplomacy. He has lived in Britain and France since 1998.
