Quattro Colori

Quattro Colori is the story of the oldest tradition in Florence told through the eyes, ears, blood, sweat and tears of four Calciante or traditional Football players. These players represent one of the four districts identified by a Church and a color – red, white, blue or green. It is the earliest form of Football, Soccer and Rugby. The game originated during Roman times and was revived in Florence during the 16th century. The modern heroes of the game are elite athletes who are prepared to accept the risk and reward in the event of a win, the glory of Florence and it’s people. The atmosphere in the city approaching the game is foreboding. Friends and families are divided by their loyalties, they are fearful for their loved ones facing the enemy.
