Bloomberg’s Brilliant Ideas looks at the most exciting and acclaimed artists at work in the world today. We will feature top names and up-and-coming artists, the stars of tomorrow; painters, sculptors, digital, conceptual and performance artists, photographers, land and street artists. Bloomberg TV has covered the globe to talk with these artists in their studios and exhibition points. Through intimate conversations we reveal their Brilliant Ideas.

Born in 1955 in Barcelona, Jaume is an internationally acclaimed sculptor. The culture, streets and architecture of the Catalan capital have been a constant source of inspiration. He is best known for spectacular, figurative sculptures – often for public settings. He works in steel, glass, marble, wood, stone and light. Major projects include his ‘Crown Fountain’ in Chicago’s Millennium Park and ‘Dream’, a large scale sculpture near Liverpool. Made in luminescent white marble and concrete, the face of a young girl with her eyes closed is at odds with the industrial surroundings. In 2015 Jaume was commissioned to create sculptures for San Giorgio Maggiore at the Venice Biennale.
