Co-Founder of SAP, Dietmar Hopp is worth $5.5 billion according to Bloomberg analysis. One of the first things he did with his cash was buy Hoffenheim, his village soccer team for whom he made over 200 appearances in his youth. Since he started investing in 2000, the club has risen from the fifth tier of German soccer, the Baden-Wurttemberg regional division to the Bundesliga – the top tier of German football. Bloomberg TV had an exclusive sit-down with Dietmar Hopp and spoke to the club’s players and fans.
