Born in London in 1977, Conrad is a leading British sculptor. His work lies on the border between engineering, geometry, physics and metaphysics, art and science. He often appropriates redundant scientific theories to create ambitious, machine-like sculptures, using a wide variety of materials. His sculptures and structures can be enigmatic, melancholy and sublime. In 2013 he became the youngest living Royal Academician. Conrad has had solo shows at institutions around the world including ARTMIA foundation, Beijing, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and the Science Museum, London.
