Born in 1982 in Auckland, and based in Berlin, Simon Denny is widely recognised as one of most innovative young artists on the contemporary art scene. His intelligent, challenging work explores digital technology, corporate culture and state power. He is interested in innovation as a driving force in business, science, public and private life, and global culture. He looks at digital technology as a force for good and a force for something more sinister. His installations combine sculpture, graphics, and moving images. He represented New Zealand at the 2015 Venice Biennale.
